My dad had been a greenkeeper at Blyth golf club from it being built. Once retired it was there he collapsed while playing his weekly round. The air ambulance was quickly on the scene and worked hard to save him. Unfortunately despite their expertise he couldn't be saved. We were devastated but to this day we take comfort in the fact he had the quickest response and expert treatment. We raised donations at his funeral & 20 years later we still donate and are grateful for such an amazing service
